A native of Central Pennsylvania, I attended Mechanicsburg Area High School and Cumberland Perry Vocational Technical School, receiving my diploma from both in 1990.
In 2000, I earned certificates in HTML web development from Harrisburg Area Community College.
I began teaching myself graphic design programs such as CorelDraw and Adobe Photoshop in 2000 as well as Adobe Illustrator.
In 2003 I became the graphic designer and artist for NK Graphics, Inc. and thus began my career in the apparel embellishment industry. My strong work ethic and problem-solving skills as well as a tenacious
attitude towards research has been an invaluable asset over the years.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide range of clients professionally and as a freelance artist doing everything from screen print designs to logo creation, web graphics,
branding, marketing collateral, and signage.
In 2009 I reconnected with my passion for traditional art and decided to try painting and fell in love with it instantly.
I got back into drawing as well and discovered a love for graphic markers and oil pastels. It didn't take long for the influences of my youth to reveal themselves. Bright, garish colors of comic books and posters and menacing fantasy themed album covers of the '70's and '80's as well as such artist as Patrick Nagel, Derek Riggs and Frank Frazetta are ever present. Classic artist such as Alphonse Mucha are a large influence as well.
I absolutely love having the opportunity to work in both traditional and digital mediums as they bring out different aspects of creativity and techniques. It keeps me on my toes. But the best part of doing what I do is seeing someone truly happy because of something I created.
